Our range of Concealed Hinges are fully concealed when doors and cabinets are closed; making them ideal for a range of applications such as electrical boxes, enclosures, domestic and commercial doors.
Our Concealed Hinges are made from a variety of resistant and durable materials such as: Stainless Steel 316/304, Chrome Plated Die Cast Zinc, Zinc Plated Steel, Zinc Alloy and 6061 Aluminium Alloy. These materials have varying features such as being corrosion, chemical and temperature resistant; providing your project with a product that withstands the test of time.
How do I work out how much weight each Hinge can bear?
Each of our Concealed Hinges have varying Axial and Radial Loads; the Axial Load is the force that can be applied to the axis (vertically) and the Radial Load is the force that can be applied to the axis (perpendicular).
In order to work out how much weight each hinge can withstand when hanging a door vertically, Divide the the Axial Load (in Newtons) by 9.81 and convert the number to Kg.
For example, a Hinge has an Axial Load of 750N, therefore the equation would be 750N ÷ 9.81 = 76.45 Kg per Hinge. This would mean that two of these Hinges would be able to withstand a door with a weight of 152.9 Kg.
If you're hanging a door perpendicularly (e.g. a loft hatch or trunk freezer), you would use the same equation but replace Axial Load with Radial Load to work out the weight in which each Hinge can withstand.
As well as being applicable to a range of applications, these hinges also have an aesthetic finish when they are installed because they are out of view.
