Grub screws, also known as set screws, are a headless threaded fastener commonly used to secure an object within or against another object. These headless fasteners are threaded along their lengths, and are either slotted for use with a flat head screw driver, or come with a socket for use with an allen key. Grub Screws also come with different ends, such as flat, cone or point, depending on the application.
Grub screws are an essential engineering component that are commonly used to secure parts in place, such as gears, pulleys, and shafts. They are often chosen for use in furniture to, due to being headless they can be easily hidden providing an aesthetic finish.
Grub Screws are available in A2 and A4 stainless steel in a variety of sizes from M2 x 10mm to M16 x 60mm.

What style of grub screw do I need?
Flat End Grub Screws are used when a large pressure areas is needed, and are commonly only used when applying pressure onto a flat surfrace.
Cone Point Grub Screws tapper down to a single point on the pressure end, and can make indentation onto softer materials providing better holding power.
Dog Point Grub Screws have a narrower shaft protruding form the end of the screw which can be used as a spindle or pivot allowing componentns to rotate around them. Alternatyivle they can also be used as temporariy locators instead of Dowel Pins.
Cup Point Grub Screws provide a similar function to the cone point, but the pressure is locater around the rim of the grub screw instead of on a single point. These are particually useful when holding rounded objects in place.
