Plastic & Rubber Ferrules
Variations Of Plastic & Rubber Ferrules
Now available in tapered plastic ferrule types, these are a new product into our range which are suited towards use with smaller chair legs, hence their availability in sizes from 6mm and above. Having a tapered base allows these to be used with even angled legs, meaning that they have more versatility than their standard flat counterparts.
Used over Rubber Ferrules due to their suitability with a range of surfaces and chair legs, these are a truly high quality product that come in at very reasonable prices.
Our standard Plastic Ferrules in a round finish are excellent for use with furniture, chairs, sofa's, desks, tables and the majority of legged furniture that you can imagine. These are an externally fitting solution that slip/place onto the end of the leg of the chair or piece of furniture, this provides an optimal level of grip and stability whilst preventing the marking of surrounding floors due to the anti marking nature of the plastic in which these feet are made from, increasing the list of benefits that they provide even more.
Used consistently for their lightweight properties, these Plastic Ferrules are cost efficient in comparison as they come without a steel washer inside the base. If you are looking for a stronger option but want to stick with plastic then you may want to try out our inserts if you have a hollow leg, alternatively feel free to get in touch. These are not best suited for use with walking sticks or canes due to the lack of reinforcement.
These Angled Plastic Ferrules are useful for solid chair legs which sit on the floor at an angle. Coming with slight inner ribs which allow it to sit perfectly on the end of the chair leg as a cap, these act as feet which can then provide instant benefits in providing grip, reducing floor damage as well as increasing the overall stability of the chair or furniture. These Plastic Ferrules are employed more commonly than the more expensive Rubber counterparts, or even the Walking Stick Ferrules which can be relatively costly due to the reinforcement provided from the metal washer insert. Each Plastic product inside our range is made from an LDPE (low density) type material and work perfectly in comparison to other products we offer such as inserts which can be a bit more challenging in terms of installation and initial setup, mainly due to the lack of flexibility provided in the material.
Finished in a glossy black these have the ability to enhance the looks / aesthetics of your application, becoming an ideal solution.
As a Plastic form of Ferrule these are suited towards use with desk legs, aiding the grip and suitability that they provide. Coming in much larger sizes than our standard Rubber Ferrule options, these can go up and above 114mm in diameter, with most other solutions within our ranges going up to 32mm at a maximum.
Push fitting onto the end of a leg, these do not need any adhesives or fixings to keep them in place, with internal sections designed to grip onto your leg and prevent it from falling off over a long period of time.
These Square Plastic Ferrules are an easy to install and fit solution that simply slip on to the end of a square chair leg, stub or box section, fitting externally onto the outside of the leg. Each square foot comes with ribs to ensure a tight fitting, although it can also be helped to stay in by adding a slight bit of adhesive or sticky substance. These are a popular Plastic Ferrule option and are commonly used with chairs rather than heavy appliances or machinery, although they can be used with all types of heavy furniture including sofa's. Please note that this is an external feet style that has been manufactured and designed to work by fitting over the leg or the end of the chair. As Plastic Ferrules, these have been specifically produced for an easy fit to your chair or furniture leg, providing enough grip to keep it firmly attached and strong to the ground at all times.
These do not come with a metal washer or any base reinforcement so please keep that in mind when looking for an ideal choice of ferrule.
Our Rubber Ferrules in style 1 are a popular part for us, this is most likely due to them being an external fitting replacement which push onto the end of the chair or furniture leg. These are widely used due to their excellent gripping properties which allow them to almost' 'stick' to hard flooring, providing stability and security to an application at the same time. We offer a range of anti-marking and specialist rubber type ferrule products inside this range, our style 1 versions are one of these being both non marking and reinforced from standard.
As with the majority of our Rubber versions, each style comes with a metal washer in the bottom of the base, this helps to provide both solid contact and durability, preventing the end of the exposed chair leg from pushing through the ferrule and potentially causing damage to the flooring which it is placed on. Rather than using external components such as an adhesive or even an insert, it is advised to push these on the end of a leg or walking stick. These ferrules are an ideal choice for a number of standard and non standard uses due to their anti marking properties and versatility, which prevents them from marking or wearing the flooring that they are placed on.
Simply put, these Rubber Ferrules are our simple versions which work for almost any round tubular or solid leg, along with walking sticks or canes due to the reinforced base which comes from standard.
These Style 2 Ferrules are an excellent all rounded rubber ferrule option that come with a number of excellent properties that make it a popular product for us. One of the main benefits of using this replacement foot is the excellent gripping properties that it provides let alone its ideal stability properties for larger applications such as shelving units or sofas. Each one of these Rubber products comes with a grooved bottom which helps to grip on almost any surface, even if it is un-even or rugged. Known as Walking Stick Ferrules due to their tubular sleeve which helps to grip the stick / cane itself, these are a go to option for many people who replace the ends of their walking aids.
Equipped with ideal anti-marking properties, these are excellent for preventing damage to your flooring whether you have hard or soft floors. This external feet style of ferrule is best used with hard flooring rather than soft due to the natural grip properties of rubber, therefore these are advised for wooden, tiled or even vinyl floors to provide the best benefits of grip, stability and strength possible. When used as Walking Stick ferrules these provide an excellent amount of wear and usage before needing to be replaced, hence the metal washer that is placed in the bottom of the foot to allow for shock absorption from the impact that the walking stick may cause. As one of the most popular form of ferrules that we offer, these can be used both as walking stick ends and leg ends, providing versatility that some of our other options cannot provide.
The longer sleeve area which works to entrap the leg to provide stability as well as a firm grip is included as standard on all models / sizes of this product.
These Style 3 Ferrules are an excellent external fitting ferrule option as they simply slip onto the end of the chair leg. They are most commonly used with metal legs due to the metal washer inside the bottom of the foot which prevents the chair leg from pressing through the bottom. Each of these style 3 ferrules in rubber come with a pimpled base from standard, this allows for better grip and stability no matter what the surface may be. This pimple based allows for use with rugged and uneven flooring, making them a widely used part across many industries including education and furniture.
These style 3 versions are made from a premium thick commercial rubber which ensures their high end performance as an external fitting ferrule, this can be used with a range of furniture, chairs and even sofa or appliances. Also known as Walking Stick Ferrules due to the base type these bumps provide grip at a range of angles, preventing a loss of balance or instability. When used with heavy furniture or chairs, these can work well with hard surfaces such as marble or granite, providing stability even when the chair is leaned backward.
Available in a number of industry standard ferrule sizes such as 19mm.
Our crutch style ferrules for crutches and walking sticks are a massively popular part for use as a crutch tip. Each product size comes with a metal washer inside the bottom to reinforce and prevent the crutch from breaking / wearing through the bottom of the ferrule, this also helps to provide a good level of stability whilst in use (especially when used on the end of a crutch). Also known as crutch feet, these are a heavy duty solution that have been made within industry guidelines in the pharmaceutical sector.
Also useful for Chairs & Furniture these can slip on the end of a Chair Leg just as a Crutch End. As external fitting type ferrules, these simply place onto the end of a chair leg or crutch, a little bit of adhesive can also be used to ensure a tighter, solid fitting if the measurements that you provided don't quite match up. Crutch feet are some of our most popular external feet due to the massively popular use for them, that being for use as replacements for crutches and other walking stick type objects.
External feet such as these are praised for their ease of fitting as well as strong and sturdy designs. These replacement rubber ferrules are a slip on option and easy fit onto the end of a walking stick or crutch, providing you with grip and stability at all times throughout usage.
Along with our selection of ferrules, we do of course offer internal fitting versions which fit into tubular furniture. Coming mainly for round tubing and box sections, as well as for oval and rectangular tubing, you can rest assured that we have the best type of insert for your application, providing grip and preventing damaged flooring.

Working mainly to protect and provide grip, our ferrules come in a number of Plastic and Rubber variations with each coming with its own unique set of properties such as a reinforced metal or nylon base. When it comes to choosing your preferred version of ferrule it is important to remember that options such as our Rubber Ferrules will provide good grip on hard surfaces, making them ideal for use with crutches and walking sticks, where-as Plastic Ferrules will provide better grip when used with softer surfaces such as carpet. As a push fitting product these feet are able to be installed straight away, without the need for fixings or adhesives thanks to the self gripping design which comes from standard across our range.
