Industries Using Conveyor Feet

Food Processing
Stainless steel conveyor feet are essential in food factories where hygiene, washdown resistance and corrosion protection are non-negotiable. A2 and A4 grades are the standard specification.

Packaging
High-speed packaging lines require precisely levelled conveyors to maintain throughput and accuracy. Anti-vibration and adjustable feet are commonly specified for this sector.

Pharmaceutical
Cleanroom and pharmaceutical production environments demand feet that meet strict hygiene standards. Stainless steel adjustable feet with smooth profiles are the preferred choice.

Automotive
Automotive assembly lines use conveyor systems to move components between stations. Heavy duty machinery feet with high load ratings and bolt-down bases are standard in this sector.

Warehousing & Distribution
Distribution centres rely on conveyor systems running over large floor areas. Levelling feet that accommodate uneven concrete floors and variable load conditions are essential.

Conveyor Manufacturers
OEM conveyor manufacturers specify feet at the design stage. We supply direct to manufacturers requiring consistent, high quality feet in bulk across multiple conveyor builds.

Recycling
Recycling plants operate heavy-duty conveyor systems handling abrasive materials. Robust, high load capacity feet with anti-vibration properties are widely used in this environment.
Printing
Printing machinery requires precise levelling to maintain registration accuracy. Anti-vibration feet help reduce movement transfer that could affect print quality.
Bottling Plants
Bottling and filling lines operate at high speed in wet environments. Stainless steel feet with rubber bases provide the hygiene and stability required in these demanding production conditions.
Types of Conveyor Feet

Stainless Steel Conveyor Feet
Food factories & washdown areas
Corrosion resistant and hygienic — the go-to choice for food, beverage and pharmaceutical conveyor systems.

Anti-Vibration Conveyor Feet
Moving conveyors & noise reduction
Rubber-damped bases absorb vibration transfer from moving conveyors, protecting flooring and reducing operational noise.

Bolt Down Feet
Permanent installations
Cannot be moved without a tool — ideal for fixed conveyor runs where positional stability is critical and accidental movement must be prevented.

Tilting Feet
Uneven floors
The tilting base produces angles to compensate for uneven floor surfaces, keeping the conveyor level without shimming or floor preparation.

Levelling Feet
General machinery
The most versatile option — perfect for many applications where straightforward height adjustment and stability are the primary requirements.
Shop NowHow to Measure Conveyor Feet
Get the specification right first time using these key measurements.
Thread Size
M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 etc.
Thread Length
Length of the threaded stud in mm.
Base Diameter
Diameter of the foot base plate in mm.
Overall Height
Total height from floor to mounting point.
Weight Rating
Maximum load capacity per foot in kg or N.
Always divide the total machine weight by the number of feet to calculate the load per foot. Apply a safety factor of at least 1.5x for dynamic or moving loads.
Installation Guide
Follow these steps for a correctly installed and levelled conveyor foot.
Position Machine
Place the conveyor or machine in the approximate final position before fitting feet.
Thread Foot
Thread the foot into the mounting bracket or tube insert to the approximate required height.
Level Conveyor
Use a spirit level to check alignment. Adjust individual feet until the conveyor is perfectly level.
Tighten Lock Nut
Once level, tighten the lock nut firmly against the bracket to secure the foot position.
Bolt Down (if required)
For permanent installations, bolt the base plate to the floor to prevent any movement.
Common Mistakes When Installing Conveyor Feet
Using Undersized Feet
Always check the load rating per foot, not just the total machine weight. Undersized feet will fail under operational load.
Ignoring Load Rating
The rated load must account for dynamic forces, not just static weight. Moving conveyors create additional load beyond the machine's own weight.
No Anti-Vibration
Fitting standard feet on a vibrating conveyor will transfer movement to the floor and structure. Always specify anti-vibration feet where machinery produces significant vibration.
Incorrect Thread Size
Fitting a foot with the wrong thread into a bracket or tube insert will result in a poor fit. Always confirm the thread size before ordering.
No Locking Nut
Without a locking nut, vibration will gradually cause the foot to unscrew, causing the conveyor to drop out of level over time.
Machinery Mounting Feet
Ideal for conveyor systems, production machinery and industrial equipment requiring a secure fixing point and high load capacity — including washdown areas such as food processing environments.
