Non Asbestos Y Gaskets

Most commonly used with steam and water systems, these Non-Asbestos Y Full Face Gaskets are resistant to many problematic fluids often found in automotive settings, such as oils, brake fluids, and cooling fluids.

These Y Grade Gaskets are often used over their X counterparts thanks to their ideal flexibility, enabling the material to adapt to irregular or uneven flange areas.

Our Non Asbestos Y Gaskets are manufactured using a high end AF300 fibre sheeting, a medium duty fibre with a number of resistance properties.

Please note that all of our gaskets are CNC / cut to order so can be made to any requirements.

Non Asbestos Grade Y Material Specifications:

• Maximal Continuous Temperature - 250°c (In steam 200°c)
• Maximum Peak Temperature - 300°c
• Allowable Pressure - 55 Bar
• Density (max +/- 5%) - 2.0g/cm
• Tensile Resistance Cross Fibre (min) - 8Mpa
• Compressibility (at 35 Mpa/20°c) - 5 to 15%
• Elastic recovery (min/20°c) - 40%
