Push In Rivets

Our Plastic Push-In Rivets are a versatile panel fastening solution available in Nylon 6 and Nylon 66, designed for the secure joining of two panels or sheets without the need for additional tools or hardware. Once installed, the mandrel is driven inward until it sits flush with the rivet head, providing a neat and finished appearance. Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and non-conductive, they offer a reliable fastening solution suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.

What Materials Can Plastic Push-In Rivets Be Used With?

Plastic Push-In Rivets are compatible with a wide range of materials including plastics, sheet metal, aluminium, fibreboard, and composite panels. They are particularly well suited to thinner or more delicate materials where a metal rivet may cause cracking or surface damage around the hole.

How to Remove Plastic Push-In Rivets?

Once installed, the mandrel sits flush with the rivet head, meaning the rivet cannot be undone from the front face of the panel. Access to the reverse side is required for removal — a flat tool can be used to push the mandrel back through from behind, allowing the shank to compress and the rivet to be withdrawn. This one-sided security makes them a reliable choice where tamper resistance or panel integrity from the front face is important.

How Do Plastic Push-In Rivets Perform Under Vibration?

Plastic Push-In Rivets perform well in low to moderate vibration environments. The expanded shank grips the panel firmly once installed, resisting loosening under normal operating conditions. For applications subject to heavy or continuous vibration, a locking canoe clip or metal fastener may be more appropriate.
