Canoe Clips

Nylon Canoe Clips are versatile panel fastening components available in a range of sizes and flammability ratings, designed for the secure joining of two panels or sheets without the need for additional tools or hardware. They are an excellent quick installation, precision-moulded and high-quality nylon fastener, offering a lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and non-conductive solution suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.

How to Install Canoe Clips

Instillation is straightforward. The canoe clip is inserted through aligned holes in two overlapping panels, where its flexible legs compress on entry and then spring outward to lock firmly in place. This snap-fit mechanism provides a secure and repeatable connection that holds panels together under normal operating loads while still allowing removal when required.

How to Remove Canoe Clips

Removal is equally simple. A suitable flat tool, such as a screwdriver, is inserted beneath the clip head and leveraged gently to compress the locking legs back through the panel hole. Once the legs have cleared the panel surface the clip can be lifted free cleanly without causing damage to the surrounding material.

Can you reuse Canoe Clips?

Canoe Clips can be installed and removed multiple times; however, after multiple re-installs they will lose the ability to securely fasten due to fatigue on the clip. Before installation, carry out a visual check — discard any clip showing cracks, deformation, or legs that no longer spring outward fully. Once installed, if the clip feels loose in the hole or fails to hold the panels flush, the leg retention force has deteriorated, and the clip should be replaced.
