Fir Tree Plugs

Our Fir Tree Plugs are a popular product manufactured from Nylon, and are a simple push fit fastener for joining panels. The barbed plug clips inside holes as they are inserted creating a ridgid connection which is difficult to remove. They are also an economic option in comparison to heavier duty alternatives. Fir Tree Plugs are used instead of Plastic Rivets as they are able to be used in blind holes.

Fir Tree Plugs come with barbed, one-way 'ribs', which prevent movement once installed. This makes them recommended for all kinds of panel work, where fastening is required. These are a low cost product available in a large array of sizes and panel thicknesses, along with both natural and black finishes. The large, low profile domed head also allows the Fir Tree Plugs to blank off unused holes, providing an aesthetic finish.

We stock these Fir Tree Plugs in a range of head diameters and hole sizes between 3mm and 10mm, for panel thicknesses between 0.6mm to 50mm. However, we are always able to offer custom sizing where required. We also stock Plastic Snap Rivets as an alternative to panel fastening, which are better suited for joing smaller panels.
