Metal Brackets

Metal brackets are components used primarily to repair or reinforce joints between pieces of timber. There are available in several shapes and each shape in a number of sizes to provide options depending on the joint needed.

Usually used with self tapping or wood screws, both of which we stock and can be found by clicking their respective link.

What are Metal Brackets made of?

The brackets are usually made of zinc plated steel, with a bright shiny silver colour. Steel is used as it is a cost effective but strong material that is suitable for the majority of jobs. They are also available on request in other finishes on the steel for either increase corrosion resistance or a change up in aesthetics. Included:

  • Galvanising
  • Painted – Powder Coated
  • Yellow Zinc Plating
  • Black Zinc Plating
  • Plain Finish / Unplated
  • Nickel
  • Chrome

Additionally some brackets can be produced in either different steel thicknesses or other metals such as brass or stainless steels upon request.
