Specified in sheet metal fabrication, the M8 male to female anti vibration fixing is used where a bonded rubber mount can protect connected parts from operational shock.
It provides a useful alternative to rigid spacers, helping create a controlled vibration break in fabricated assemblies. The male to female design helps reduce overall projection compared with two exposed studs while still giving a secure threaded fixing on both sides of the rubber bobbin. The bonded construction helps resist separation under normal compression and shear loading.
