Domed Head Blind Rivets

Our Domed Head Blind Rivets manufactured to ISO 15983 provide a reliable permanent fastening solution for joining two or more materials where access is only available from one side of the assembly. Also commonly known as pop rivets, these blind rivets feature a domed head that provides a neat finished appearance while distributing the clamping load across the surrounding material.

What are ISO 15983 Domed Head Blind Rivets?

ISO 15983 specifies dimensional requirements for open-end blind rivets with break pull mandrels and protruding heads. During installation, the rivet is inserted through a pre-drilled hole before the mandrel is pulled using a suitable riveting tool. This expands the rivet body on the blind side of the joint, securing the materials together before the mandrel breaks at a predetermined point.

The domed or protruding head design makes these rivets suitable for a wide range of general-purpose fastening applications where a strong, secure and visually tidy fixing is required.
