Lifting Fasteners

Lifting Fasteners are specially designed fixing components used to provide safe and secure lifting, rigging and anchoring points across a wide range of industrial, construction and engineering applications. Manufactured from high strength materials for dependable performance under load, these fasteners are commonly used with lifting equipment, chains, cables and hoists to safely move heavy machinery, fabricated assemblies and structural components. At Vital Parts, we supply an extensive range of lifting fasteners including Forged Lifting Eye Bolts, Cast Lifting Eye Bolts, Forged Lifting Eye Nuts, Cast Lifting Eye Nuts and Eye Bolts manufactured to recognised DIN standards for reliable and consistent performance.

What are Lifting Fasteners?

Lifting Fasteners are threaded fastening components designed to create secure attachment points for lifting and hoisting operations. They are widely used throughout manufacturing, marine, construction, utilities and maintenance industries where heavy loads need to be safely moved or secured. Available in both forged and cast variants depending on the required load rating and application, these fasteners are engineered to provide excellent strength, durability and resistance to mechanical stress.

Our Range of Lifting Fasteners

  • Forged Lifting Eye Bolts (DIN 580) – High strength forged lifting points manufactured to DIN 580 standards for lifting and rigging applications requiring enhanced load capabilities and reliability.
  • Cast Lifting Eye Bolts – Economical lifting eye bolts suitable for lighter duty lifting, securing and anchoring tasks across industrial and commercial environments.
  • Forged Lifting Eye Nuts (DIN 582) – Heavy duty forged eye nuts manufactured to DIN 582 specifications, designed for secure lifting point creation when paired with threaded studs or bolts.
  • Cast Lifting Eye Nuts – Cost effective cast lifting eye nuts ideal for general purpose lifting and fixing applications where moderate load capacities are required.
  • Eye Bolts (DIN 444B) – Threaded eye bolts manufactured to DIN 444B standards, commonly used for fastening, securing, tensioning and pivoting applications in engineering and machinery assemblies.

What is the difference between Cast and Drop-Forged Stainless Steel?

Cast stainless steel components are manufactured by pouring molten stainless steel into a mould where it cools and hardens into the required shape. This process is ideal for producing complex shapes and detailed designs with minimal machining required. Drop-forged stainless steel, however, is created by heating a solid piece of stainless steel and compressing it under high pressure using specialised dies. This forging process aligns the internal grain structure of the steel, resulting in improved strength, durability and resistance to impact or fatigue. In general, cast stainless steel is often chosen for intricate or decorative applications while drop-forged stainless steel is preferred for heavy-duty, load-bearing or safety-critical applications where maximum strength and reliability are required.
