This 0.89mm internal diameter clear silicone masking cap with a 12.7mm internal length is a short-depth, ultra-miniature cap designed for applications where visual confirmation of correct placement matters. Suited to the finest precision engineering applications -PCB connectors, miniature medical device ports and micro-bore tube ends where virtually no other masking solution fits reliably. Push the cap firmly over the stud, tube end or port and the flexible silicone stretches to form a secure, leak-proof seal that holds through powder coating, e-coating, electroplating, anodizing and wet paint processes -withstanding continuous temperatures from -40°C to +315°C without melting, deforming or leaving residue on the masked surface. Once finishing is complete it peels away cleanly, leaving the masked surface completely unaffected.
Clear silicone lets you confirm the cap is correctly seated and that the masked surface underneath is clean before the part enters the finishing line -reducing the risk of masking errors that cause surface contamination or rejection. Reusable across multiple production cycles -a cost-effective alternative to single-use tape masking.
