Thread Protection Nut Caps

We offer two types of Thread Protection Nut Caps: standard and telescopic. The standard is suited for minimal thread coverage, while the telescopic version is designed for longer exposed threads or use with washers.

Made from durable LDPE, our Telescopic Nut Caps provide a quick push-fit solution to cover and protect nuts and threads from dirt, damage, corrosion and injury, while giving a neat finish.

The unique attributes of the nut and washer caps are that they have a clamping edge which grips underneath the chamfer on the nut, providing a strong connection. Internal ribs deform when inserted onto the nut to increase the clamping effect, and a sealing lip protects the nut, thread and in some variants the washer from the elements.

Customer Insight: Caps with larger inside lengths can be used to accommodate larger threads or multiple nuts.

We stock sizes from M3 to M90 in a range of different lengths. We also offer telescopic caps which can be used for multiple lengths of thread.

Our range comes in black as standard as it offers the highest UV resistance, but we are able to manufacture custom requirements in any RAL colour. For further info on custom colour runs, please get in touch on 01233 713581.

Our LDPE can withstand constant temperatures of 70ºC and is resistant to:

• Seawater
• Non-oxidising acids
• Non-oxidising alkaline solutions
• Alcohol
• Fuels
• Oils
• Greases

Our entire range of Thread Protection Caps is also available on request in Polypropylene, Nylon, TEEE and ETFE. We also offer Secure Nut & Bolt Caps and Domed Nut & Bolt Caps.
