Bonded Sealing Washers
Bonded Sealing Washers are used to create seals around fixing holes. Our Sealing Washers are made from A2 Stainless Steel bonded with grey EPDM rubber on one side. These washers are often used in the roofing industry or for general construction. EPDM is a highly durable rubber suitable for outdoor use, which makes it the perfect material to bond to Stainless Steel to create a sealing washer.
Installation Tip: These washers can be paired with Spring Washers or Serrated Washers to reduce the likelihood of loosening the seal.
These Bonded Washers are perfect for quick installation, saving time by not having to fasten a rubber and a metal washer on site. Bonded Sealing Washers can also help with vibration noise issues. Bonded Washer can also be used to fasten Perspex or Glass sheets, were the loading force is spread equally across the EPDM rubber, reducing the enduced stress in the sheet material and preventing the likelihood of cracking.
We stock Dowty Washers in sizes ranging from 4.7mm x 12.5mm to 13mm x 29mm, all in a standard 2.8mm thickness.
