Hex Socket Countersunk Barrel Nuts

Hex Socket Countersunk Barrel Nuts also known as Allen Key Countersunk Barrel Nuts are internally threaded fasteners that when paired with a male threaded fastener can clamp two or more components securely together. The countersunk head sits flush with the surface of the workpiece which makes them ideal for applications that require a neat and professional finish such as cabinetry, furniture and joinery projects.

Manufactured from A1 or A4 stainless steel these barrel nuts provide excellent durability and resistance to corrosion making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. They are available in sizes from M4 × 12 mm through to M16 × 25 mm giving a wide choice to suit light through to heavy duty applications.

The main difference between Hex Socket Countersunk Barrel Nuts and Slotted Countersunk Barrel Nuts lies in the drive type. Hex socket versions are tightened using a standard Allen key or hex wrench which allows for higher torque and a more secure fastening in heavier applications. Slotted versions by comparison use a flat blade screwdriver which is easier to install for light and medium duty projects. Choosing between them depends on whether your priority is quick installation or maximum strength and security.

We also supply Metric Threaded Fasteners, as well as slotted and pin torx barrel nuts.
