Push to Open Latches

Our Push to Open Latches are spring-loaded and can be used within a range of applications. Push to Open Latches are commonly used for waste purposes such as touch-lid bins and automotive purposes such as overhead and console compartments and petrol caps.

Our Push to Open Latches are both made from Acetal and A2 Stainless Steel which are highly resistant and robust materials. Acetal, which is also known as POM or Polyoxymethylene, is a strong material which is resistant to chemicals and abrasion. Acetal also has a UL94 HB Flammability Rating which is considered self-extinguishing. A2 Stainless Steel is corrosion resistant and has a temperature range of between -196 to 300°C.

We currently stock our Push to Open Latches in two style variations; Hinged and Compressed. The Hinged style is useful for applications which require a sideways opening action such as cabinets as they protract at an angle when pressure is released and retract back into their housing when pressure is applied to the spring mechanism. The Compressed style is useful for applications which require an opening action from above, such as a push-lid bin as it would work in conjunction with a catch which pushes the pins back into their housing.

Our Hinged Latches are stocked in black as standard and our Compressed Latches are available in Black, Grey and White as standard.
