5-Lobe Countersunk Screws

Designed for high security applications where tamper resistance is essential, these countersunk security screws feature a five lobe drive with a central pin to prevent unauthorised removal. The countersunk head allows the fastener to sit flush with the surface which reduces snagging improves safety and delivers a clean professional finish. Offering a higher level of protection than Pin-Torx or Pin-Hex alternatives, they are manufactured from corrosion resistant A4-70 stainless steel making them suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor environments.

The countersunk profile is ideal for applications where a smooth flush finish is required such as access panels door hardware signage and public facing installations. Available in self tapping or metric machine screw formats, these fasteners provide flexible installation options across metal plastic and composite materials. They are widely used throughout public infrastructure automotive electronics and retail environments where security discretion and finish quality are critical.

What are the benefits of A4 stainless steel?

A4 stainless steel contains molybdenum which significantly improves resistance to corrosion particularly in salty humid or industrial environments. This makes it ideal for outdoor installations marine applications and situations where long term durability is essential. A4 stainless steel offers improved performance compared to A2 stainless steel which is more commonly used but less resilient in aggressive conditions.

Why is a 5 Lobe drive more secure than Pin Hex or Pin Torx?

Five lobe fasteners are rated at Security Level 2 Enhanced Security while both Pin Hex and Pin Torx fasteners are rated at Security Level 1 Entry Level Security.

The five lobe drive pattern is intentionally uncommon which makes it difficult to engage using standard tools found in most toolkits. Unlike hex or Torx drives which are widely available the five lobe design adds an additional layer of protection against tampering and unauthorised removal.

Please note that to protect the integrity of our security fasteners the relevant installation tooling is not available online.
