Aerotight® Nuts

Aerotight® nuts are precision-engineered, all-metal self-locking nuts designed to resist vibration, temperature extremes, and chemical exposure. Ideal for aerospace, automotive, marine, and industrial applications, they offer consistent locking performance without the need for inserts or additional components.

What's the benefit of Aerotight® Nuts?

  • Proudly made in the UK.
  • All-metal locking design – No nylon inserts, making them suitable for demanding applications.
    • Temperature resistance – Far greater resistance to temperature than plastic locking rings.
    • Chemical resistance – Some particularly harsh environments can break down nylon locking rings and require an all-metal design.
  • Reusable – Maintains locking performance over multiple installations.
  • Vibration-resistant – Proven performance in Junker vibration tests.*
  • Corrosion-resistant – Available in A2 and A4 stainless steel for harsh conditions.

*Junkers Test performed independently by Jaguar Land Rover, R+D Centre, Gaydon.

What sizes and materials are available?

Stocked in M2.5 thru M24, in stainless steel, grades A1, A4 and A4-80.
A1 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties for the majority of applications. A4 stainless steels offer higher corrosive resistance, particular in causics or salty environments. A4-80 is the highest strength stainless steel available.

What other options are there?

While most commonly stocked in stainless steels and metric threads, other options are available such as:
Thread Form:

  • Fine pitches
  • UNC / UNF (Unified) threads to BS 1580
  • BA (British Association) to BS 93
  • BSW (Whitworth) / Gas Threads to BS 84

Other materials:
