What are the benefits of A4 stainless steel?

A4 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which significantly improves its resistance to corrosion especially in salty, humid, or industrial environments. This makes it ideal for outdoor use, marine applications, and anywhere long-term durability is critical. It's a step up from A2 stainless steel, which is more commonly used but less resilient under tough conditions.

Why is a 5-Lobe drive more secure than Pin-Hex or Pin-Torx?

We give 5-lobed fasteners a security rating of 2, Enhanced Security, and both Pin-Hex and Pin-Torx a rating of 1, Entry Level Security.

The 5-lobed design is intentionally uncommon, making it difficult to engage with standard tools found in most toolkits. Unlike hex or Torx drives, which are often available online or are part of toolkits, the 5-lobe drive adds an extra layer of protection against tampering and unauthorised removal.
