Furniture & Chair Glides

Our Selection of Furniture & Chair Glides

Nail On Feet & Glides
Nail on feet are a widely used form of glide, however they are not only used as glides but as feet for use with a range of tables, chairs or furniture. Furniture glides, or floor glides as they are also known, are often used to move large and heavy furniture across a surface, be it a hard or soft surface. There are many variations available of furniture glides, ranging from ones that are best for hard surfaces all the way to ones that are only really used for soft surfaces, an example being our metal floor glides.
Screw On Glides
These Screw on type of glides are widely renowned, when used as furniture glides these are best for use with hard flooring such as wood, metal or even concrete. Each of these floor glides is fortified with a metal washer inside the base to prevent rapid wearing and to ensure that it can take a large amount of weight. These Furniture glides screw into place using a drilled hole, this provides versatility in the vast amount of materials that can be used in conjunction with these in comparison to some of our other floor glides such as nail on feet. Furniture glides are an essential product inside many industries and are most common inside ones that often work with furniture, tables, sofa's or chairs as these are easily moved across a warehouse or workspace using this type of product.
Insert Glides
Insert Glides are our newest form of Chair Glides, coming in a number of styles including Metal, Nylon and LDPE (Plastic) versions. Produced mainly for use with tubular or tube based Furniture, Chairs or Appliances these are one of the most popular forms of Furniture Glides that we offer, used across a range of flooring / surface types including wood, vinyl, carpet and tiles.
Threaded Glides
This Glides range features a number of high-end screw in solutions, coming with male threads that allow their use with any female threaded component. Threaded Glides feature a ball joint base and can be used for some of the heaviest known applications, something that our other standard Furniture Glides are unable to achieve. As standard these Threaded Floor Glides are a more advanced solution, however they are highly recommended across the board for an array of uses.
Teflon Glides
Teflon Glides are great for 'gliding' or 'sliding' a chair, piece of furniture or appliance across a surface. Offering highly reduced levels of friction, these are an extremely popular solution across all kinds of non-abrasive surface such as carpet, vinyl and laminated flooring.
Adhesive Glides
Adhesive Glides or 'pads' are great for use with both Furniture & Chairs, popular for their ease of use and fitting onto almost any object. As Chair Glides these can help ease of movement across a surface, as well as preventing damage to floors. When used as Furniture Glides these can offer similar properties, thanks to the high quality of materials used during the manufacturing of these products.
Saddle Glides
Saddle Glides are one of our newest forms of 'glider' or 'slider' as they are also known. Used for Chairs and Furniture with parallel tubes running along the ground, these can be fitted onto the bottom to act as Chair Glides, helping movement across a surface and reducing the friction experienced during such use. Stocked in a range of base types, this is one of the most comprehensive ranges in the UK for floor glides.
Our Furniture & Chair glides range includes a number of bespoke solutions manufactured from a number of premium quality materials including Nylon, Teflon, PTFE & Metal. These kind of glides are most frequently used with heavy furniture to help move them across a surface and to prevent damage to flooring, hence their wide use inside many industries that deal with the movement of furniture across a warehouse/showroom. Our range of Floor glides includes a number of solutions including nail on and screw on, each coming with their own benefits and variants to suit specific uses. An alternative use for these Glides tends to be for use as feet, providing an excellent level of grip and stability to a chair or piece of furniture.
