The M22 x 42.0mm Nord-Lock® Washer | A4 Stainless Steel is made for high-integrity fastening work where a robust industrial locking washer is required. What Are Nord-Lock® Washers?
Nord-Lock® washers are installed as a matched pair with their cam faces together and their serrated outer faces against the bolt head, nut and joint surface. During tightening, the serrations grip the contact surfaces. Because the cam geometry rises more steeply than the bolt thread, any loosening movement must increase tension in the joint, creating a wedge effect that helps maintain preload.
