What Are Nord-Lock® Washers?
Nord-Lock® washers are installed as a matched pair with their cam faces together and their serrated outer faces against the bolt head, nut and joint surface. Because the cam geometry rises more steeply than the bolt thread, any loosening movement must increase tension in the joint, creating a wedge effect that helps maintain preload.
