The M36 x 55.0mm Nord-Lock® Washer | A4 Stainless Steel combines accurate dimensions with proven wedge-locking geometry to create an effective mechanical locking washer. What Are Nord-Lock® Washers?
Nord-Lock® washers are installed as a matched pair with their cam faces together and their serrated outer faces against the bolt head, nut and joint surface. During tightening, the serrations grip the contact surfaces. Because the cam geometry rises more steeply than the bolt thread, any loosening movement must increase tension in the joint, creating a wedge effect that helps maintain preload.
