Peek Washers

Our Peek Washers are some of the highest performing washers that we keep in stock, with a number of useful properties including a heat resistance of up to 180°c, excellent chemical resistance and lightweight. Peek Washers are ideal for aerospace, electronic and medical applications due to their ability to withstand repeat sterilisation.

Each Peek Washer is stocked in a wide range of sizes, with Internal Diameters of between 2mm and 10mm available as standard. They are made from peek material and available in a brown colour as standard, but are eligible for custom manufacturing.

Peek Washers are robust have an outstanding creep resistance, which means that they can withstand increased levels of strain over a long period of time; providing the user with peace of mind. They also have Hydrolysis resistance which maintains the washers physical properties when they are repeatedly exposed to high pressure/extreme temperatures of water and steam. Peek has a low water absorption and an excellent resistance to thermal degration which is the process of chemical decomposition that is caused by heat.

    Frequently Asked Questions

PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) is a high performance engineering plastic.

It is extremely strong, heat resistant (up to around 250–260°C continuous use), chemically resistant and wear resistant. PEEK is commonly used in aerospace, medical, automotive and high spec industrial applications where metal replacement or extreme conditions are involved.

PEEK material is used in high-performance applications where strength, heat resistance and chemical resistance are critical.

    It is commonly used for:

    Aerospace components

    Medical implants and surgical tools

    Automotive engine and transmission parts

    Electrical insulation in high-temperature environments

    Bearings, bushings and wear parts

PEEK is often chosen as a lightweight alternative to metal in demanding industrial environments.
