Rubber Door Trims

Our Rubber Door Trims, door seals and bumper strips are manufactured using a selection of high quality materials, including EPDM paired with internal steel ribs to provide additional reinforcement. A widely used solution for finishing and sealing doors, these trims are commonly found across the automotive and construction industries, where they are used to create a reliable compression seal between hinged components and to prevent ingress, vibration and long-term deterioration through door or panel gaps.

As standard, our rubber door trims offer excellent resistance to weathering, water and oils thanks to the EPDM rubber construction, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

We stock rubber door trims in a wide range of panel thicknesses and profile styles to meet different requirements. Custom sizing is also available on request. For all available sizes or to request a free sample, please refer to the product table displayed below.

Why Use Our Rubber Door Trims and Seals?

  • Manufactured from carefully selected materials including EPDM rubber and reinforced steel
  • Provides a strong, durable and reliable compression seal
  • Suitable for automotive, commercial and industrial applications
  • Wide range of sizes available to suit metal edges and door frames

Common uses for these trims and seals include:

  • As a bumper for metal edges to prevent damage: EDGE080 / EDGE081
  • As a trim to seal windows or doors and prevent air escape: EDGE082

Automotive and Door Edge Applications

These profiles are widely used as car door rubber trim solutions where durability, sealing performance and edge protection are required. Installed as a rubber door edge trim, they help protect painted surfaces, reduce vibration and minimise wind and water ingress. Many customers also use our range as a car door edge trim rubber seal protector to shield vulnerable door edges from impact damage in both private and commercial vehicles.

Beyond automotive use, these products are regularly installed as auto rubber door trim in commercial vehicles, plant machinery and access panels. They are also suitable as garage door bottom rubber trim, helping to create an effective seal along door bases to reduce drafts, water ingress and debris entering internal spaces.

How to Reattach Rubber Trim on a Car Door

If a car door rubber trim becomes loose or detached, it is usually possible to refit it easily. First, remove the old trim and clean the metal edge thoroughly to eliminate dirt, grease or adhesive residue. Once the surface is dry, align the new or existing trim and press it firmly onto the door edge, ensuring the internal steel clips engage securely. For additional security, a suitable automotive-grade adhesive can be applied inside the channel before fitting. Always work along the length of the door edge gradually to ensure even placement and a consistent seal.
