Our Shear Bolts, which are also known as Break-away or Snap Off Bolts, are a type of security fastener that reduces the risk of tampering. They have a one-way thread which ensures a secure and permanent fastening.

These Shear Bolts consist of two parts: a threaded bolt and a hexagonal head. Upon installation, the hexagonal head shears off, leaving a smooth button head finish.

We currently stock our Shear Bolts in a corrosion resistant A2 Stainless Steel which has a temperature range of between -196 to 300°C.

Installation:
Our Shear Bolts can be installed using either a standard Hex Socket or Spanner. Shear Bolts are easy to install with minimal tooling but provide a permanent and high level of security in a variety of settings.
