Step Handles are adaptable and can be used as a handles or steps due to their large, flat surface area. They are made from a robust reinforced Nylon material which is 15% glass filled PA6; making them ideal for heavy duty use.
Nylon has a UL 94 HB Flammability Rating; which means that it can endure slow horizontal burning on a 3mm thick specimen if the burning rate is less than 3” per minute or stops burning before the 5” mark.
The flat surface of the Step Handle has an anti-slip surface texture which improves grip and prevents injuries. This is particularly important for applications where the surface may be wet such as on boats or in poor weather conditions.
How do I maintain these Handles?
We would recommend using a soap product which has a pH of between 6-8 and does not contain chlorine; ensuring that any soap residue is thoroughly rinsed with water afterwards.
Installation
Our Step Handles feature four plain mounting hole bores, which require fastening from above for maximum reinforcement.
To use as a Door Handle:
Install as normal on the outside of a door or cabinet to open and close the application.
To use as a Step:
Install horizontally onto a flat surface or wall. Install multiple handles to create a stair-like structure.
Where can Step Handles be used?
Our Step Handles can be used in a variety of settings such as standard and marine vehicles as a means of accessing a van roof or multiple decks of a boat.
