Conical Vibration Buffers

Our Conical Vibration Buffers are engineered to absorb and control vibration in machinery and moving components. Each buffer combines a corrosion resistant zinc plated steel insert with a natural rubber element that provides excellent shock absorption. With a conical base and male thread, these buffers can be quickly installed into a corresponding female thread for immediate benefit.

Conical Buffers are designed to perform under both compression and shear loads, making them versatile across a wide range of industrial and mechanical applications. Their tapered shape allows them to deflect vibration effectively while reducing stress transfer into surrounding structures. This helps protect sensitive components and prolong the service life of equipment.

We stock Conical Vibration Buffers in a wide variety of sizes including thread sizes from M5 x 12mm up to M16 x 45mm, diameters from 10mm to 118mm and shore hardness ratings up to 70RHD. This range covers both light duty and heavy duty vibration control needs. For specialist requirements we also offer custom solutions including stainless steel inserts and high performance rubbers designed to withstand oils, fuels and high temperatures.

Did you know that we also supply Flat Buffers and Tapered Buffers to suit different vibration isolation requirements?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • What are Conical Vibration Buffers used for? They are used to absorb and isolate vibration in equipment, machinery and structural elements where protection from shock and noise is required.
  • How do Conical Buffers work? The tapered rubber element compresses and deflects under load to absorb vibration while the steel insert provides secure mounting.
  • What sizes are available? Standard options include thread sizes between M5 x 12mm and M16 x 45mm, diameters from 10mm to 118mm and shore hardness values up to 70RHD.
  • Can they be customised? Yes. We can supply versions with stainless steel inserts or special rubber compounds for resistance to oils, fuels and high temperatures.
  • Are they suitable for heavy machinery? Yes. Larger sizes and higher hardness ratings make them ideal for compressors, pumps and heavy industrial equipment.
