Specified for automation panels where spare cable entries must remain protected, this control panel cable plug gives panel builders a flexible way to seal a spare entry without losing future routing options. The cable diameter range of 5.1mm-18.2mm makes it suitable for a controlled break-through around matching cables.
For OEM manufacture, the same plug type can support closed-hole protection and cable-through use. This simplifies stock control where spare panel apertures may be used differently between equipment variants. This version suits panel thicknesses from 1.6mm-6.4mm, giving a wider fitting window for thicker cabinet walls, moulded boxes and fabricated housings.
What Are Liquid Tight Break Through Plugs?
Liquid tight break through plugs are co-moulded sealing parts used to close panel holes while retaining the option for cable entry. The centre membrane can remain intact as a closed seal or be pierced by a cable to form a protected pass-through, helping electrical enclosures resist water, dust and contamination.
