Camlocks
Camlocks, which are also known as Cam Locks or Cam Latches, are used to provide security in a range of applications such as cabinet doors, enclosure doors, drawers and lockers. They are stocked in a range of different styles and feature different security types such as: Standard Keys, Double Bit Keys, Square Keys, Slot Keys, Tri-lock Keys, Padlocks and Allen Keys.
Please note: our Double-Bit and Tri-Lock Camlocks do not include the relevant Keys and these will need to be purchased separately.
Here at Vital Parts, we supply durable and premium quality Camlocks which can endure use in heavy duty applications. Materials vary from Polycarbonate, Chrome Plated Die Cast Zinc, Zinc Plated Steel and Stainless Steel; providing corrosion resistance for the duration of use.
Within our Camlock range, we supply a variety of styles which feature an IP Rating of IP54; protecting them from dust and splashing water. Our Camlocks have varying mounting and locking styles.
Which Camlock is most suitable for my project?
The ideal Camlock will be dependent on the preferred security type, project conditions and style of Camlock needed for your project.

What Are Cam Locks and How Do They Differ from Traditional Locks?
Cam locks are compact rotational security fasteners featuring a cylindrical body with a cam (flat metal piece) that rotates to secure cabinet doors, drawers, enclosures, and lockers. Unlike traditional door locks, cam locks are designed for panel-mounted applications where space is limited and security requirements are moderate to high. Our cam locks feature key-operated mechanisms with various security options including standard keys, double bit keys, square keys, and tri-lock keys to meet different access control needs. The cam rotates typically 90 degrees when the key is turned, engaging with a corresponding keeper or frame to secure the enclosure. Cam locks offer advantages over traditional locks including easier installation, compact design suitable for thin panels, and the ability to provide consistent security across multiple applications while maintaining a clean, professional appearance on cabinet fronts and equipment enclosures.
