What Are Nord-Lock® Washers?
A Nord-Lock® washer set uses tension rather than thread friction to secure a fastener. Each washer has cams on one side and radial serrations on the other. The cams face inward as a pair, while the serrations engage the mating surfaces, so attempted rotation is counteracted by the wedge-locking geometry.
