The M5 x 9.0mm Nord-Lock® Washer | A4 Stainless Steel is a precision-engineered locking washer pair developed to reduce the risk of rotational loosening in service. What Are Nord-Lock® Washers?
Unlike conventional friction-based lock washers, Nord-Lock® washers use cam geometry to secure the bolted joint. The two washers are fitted cam-to-cam, leaving their serrated faces outward. When the fastener tries to rotate, the cams force an increase in bolt tension, which opposes further loosening.
