The M20 AA2 Stainless Steel Wing Nut is the largest size in this DIN 315 range at 66.5mm wide -also known as a butterfly nut or thumb nut, manufactured to DIN 315 and designed for the largest standard DIN 315 wing nut specification -heavy civil engineering, major structural installations and large marine fittings where maximum hand-tightened clamping force is required. The two large wings allow the nut to be tightened and loosened by hand without any tools -essential wherever the fastening needs to be adjusted, inspected or removed regularly without stopping to find a spanner.
A2 stainless steel (304 / 18-8) delivers solid corrosion resistance for heavy industrial, structural and outdoor applications where standard carbon steel would rust. At 66.5mm wide and 31.2mm tall, the large wing profile generates significant clamping torque by hand -enough for the structural and heavy industrial applications this size serves. A countersunk bearing face distributes clamping load evenly. DIN 315 compliant for use with any compatible M20 bolt or threaded rod at 2.5mm pitch.
