The M4 AA2 Stainless Steel Wing Nut is a compact butterfly nut at 20mm wide -also known as a butterfly nut or thumb nut, manufactured to DIN 315 and designed for light-duty adjustable assemblies, small instrument covers and precision equipment where tool-free hand tightening speeds up regular adjustment or removal. The two large wings allow the nut to be tightened and loosened by hand without any tools -essential wherever the fastening needs to be adjusted, inspected or removed regularly without stopping to find a spanner.
Manufactured from A2 stainless steel (grade 304 / 18-8), this wing nut offers reliable corrosion resistance in general indoor and outdoor environments including light moisture, humidity and mild chemical exposure -ideal for the precision and light engineering applications where this size is most commonly used. The two large wings allow secure tightening and loosening by hand without tools. A countersunk bearing face gives a stable seating on the mating surface. DIN 315 compliant for dimensional consistency with compatible metric bolts, threaded rods and machine screws of the same pitch (0.7mm).
