M3 Wing Nut DIN 315 -A4 Stainless Steel (316 Marine Grade) -20mm Wide
The M3 AA4 Stainless Steel Wing Nut is the smallest size in this DIN 315 range -also known as a butterfly nut or thumb nut, manufactured to DIN 315 and designed for miniature precision assemblies, instrument housings and electronics where a small hand-tightened fastener allows frequent access without tools. The two large wings allow the nut to be tightened and loosened by hand without any tools -essential wherever the fastening needs to be adjusted, inspected or removed regularly without stopping to find a spanner.
Manufactured from A4 stainless steel (grade 316) -also known as marine grade -this wing nut contains molybdenum which significantly enhances resistance to chloride corrosion compared to standard A2. At this small size the A4 grade is typically chosen for marine instrument housings, coastal electronics enclosures and precision assemblies in food processing or chemical environments where saltwater or cleaning agents are present. DIN 315 compliant -fits any compatible metric M3 bolt or threaded rod with a 0.5mm pitch.
