Designed for automotive brackets, guards and vibration-prone fixings, this M10 metal locknut combines a metal hex nut body with a nylon insert to help resist loosening caused by vibration or repeated movement. The DIN 985 thin pattern keeps the overall height to 10mm while maintaining the specified 1.50mm metric thread. The A2 stainless steel construction provides good corrosion resistance for general engineering, machinery and suitably exposed fastening applications.
What Are DIN 985 Nyloc Nuts?
DIN 985 Nylon Lock Nuts use a polymer insert above the metal thread to create resistance against the mating bolt. The nut body remains metal while the nylon insert provides the locking action which makes these fasteners useful in vibration-prone mechanical assemblies.
