Made to DIN 985, this M8 nylon lock nut uses a nylon locking ring to add resistance to rotation after installation. The 13mm across-flats dimension allows standard tool engagement while the 8mm height provides a compact alternative to taller nylon lock nut formats. The A2 stainless steel construction provides good corrosion resistance for general engineering, machinery and suitably exposed fastening applications.
What Are DIN 985 Nyloc Nuts?
Nyloc Nuts are metal hex nuts fitted with a nylon insert that grips the mating thread as the bolt passes through. This added friction creates a prevailing torque which helps the nut resist loosening under vibration, movement and repeated service conditions.
