For general bolted joints where resistance to loosening is required, this M6 nylock nut provides a reusable self-locking fastening option with a nylon insert positioned above the metal thread. As the mating fastener passes through the insert it creates prevailing friction which helps the nut resist backing off in service. The A2 stainless steel construction provides good corrosion resistance for general engineering, machinery and suitably exposed fastening applications.
What Are DIN 985 Nyloc Nuts?
Thin Nyloc Hex Nuts provide a lower-height locking option than taller nylon insert nuts. Their DIN 985 format combines a conventional metal hex body with a nylon locking ring which helps maintain the joint without relying on a separate lock washer.
