Made to DIN 985, this M4 nylon lock nut uses a nylon locking ring to add resistance to rotation after installation. The 7mm across-flats dimension allows standard tool engagement while the 5mm height provides a compact alternative to taller nylon lock nut formats. Thin Nyloc Hex Nuts provide a lower-height locking option than taller nylon insert nuts. Their DIN 985 format combines a conventional metal hex body with a nylon locking ring which helps maintain the joint without relying on a separate lock washer.
