The M8 x 8mm slotted cup point set screw is one full thread diameter in engagement - the entry-point for M8 shaft locking where bore depth is restricted. At M8 the thread provides considerably more clamping force than smaller sizes so even a single diameter of engagement delivers meaningful holding strength for light and moderate loads. Coupling hubs, shaft collars and bracket mounts on medium-sized machinery are typical applications. Drive with a flat-head screwdriver. A2 stainless steel (304 / 18-8) resists corrosion in standard industrial environments. DIN 438 / ISO 7436 compliant.
